1. What this covers

These terms govern your use of Wayan ("the Service"), operated by Wayan Solutions Inc, a company registered in the United Kingdom. By using Wayan, you agree to these terms.

If you're using Wayan on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on their behalf and confirming you have authority to do so.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If something happens under your account, it's on you—so let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

One person, one account. Don't share credentials across your team. If you need more seats, upgrade your plan.

3. What you can do

Use Wayan to log decisions, link context, and collaborate with your team. That's what it's for.

Don't:

• Use it for anything illegal

• Try to break, reverse-engineer, or exploit the service

• Upload malicious content

• Resell access or scrape data

• Pretend to be someone else

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Your data

You own your data. Everything you put into Wayan—decisions, notes, links—belongs to you. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't look at it unless you ask us to (for support) or we're legally required to.

We process your data to provide the service. That's it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You can export or delete your data at any time. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, unless we're legally required to keep it longer.

5. GDPR

We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Data controller: If you're using Wayan for your own purposes, you're the data controller. Wayan Solutions Inc acts as a data processor on your behalf.

• Data processing agreement: Available on request for customers who need one.

• Data location: Your data is stored in the European Economic Area.

• Your rights: You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us at privacy@wayan.io.

• Subprocessors: We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Wayan. A list is available on request.

6. Payment and billing

If you're on a paid plan:

• You'll be billed monthly or annually, depending on your plan

• Prices are in GBP unless stated otherwise

• We'll notify you before any price changes

• You can cancel anytime—your access continues until the end of your billing period

• Refunds are at our discretion, but we're reasonable about it

7. Cancellation and termination

You can cancel your account anytime from your settings. Your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period, then it's deleted within 30 days.

We can terminate your account if you violate these terms, don't pay, or if we discontinue the service. We'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data, unless there's a legal reason we can't.

8. The service itself

We work hard to keep Wayan running smoothly, but we can't promise 100% uptime. Things break sometimes. We'll fix them as fast as we can.

We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we make major changes that affect you, we'll give you advance notice.

9. Intellectual property

Wayan's code, design, and brand are ours. Your data and content are yours. Neither of us gets rights to the other's stuff beyond what's needed to make the service work.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

• Wayan is provided "as is"

• We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months

This doesn't limit liability for things that can't be excluded under UK law, like fraud or gross negligence.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If something goes wrong, let's try to sort it out directly before involving lawyers. If we can't, disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
